Configuring settings for standalone window for phone calls in the app desktop

Last updated on February 14, 2022
You can handle calls in the desktop app via:
  • Floating dialer within the app
  • Standalone call window that is separate from the app (this is the default setting selection)
The standalone call window in the app automatically detaches call windows from the desktop app, so you can manage and handle them without focusing on the app main window.

Configuring settings for standalone call window

  1. Go to Settings via the left-hand navigation bar.
  2. Click the Phone tab in the left pane.
  3. Under Call handling, toggle the switch at the far right of Use standalone window for phone calls to enable or disable the feature. This is enabled by default.
  4. When the standalone window for phone calls feature is turned on, the toggle switch for Always keep phone call window in front becomes available. If you enable this, it will allow the standalone phone call window to always stay in the foreground.

Note: If you disable the standalone call window, you will see the options for Bring app to front and Do not bring to foreground when minimized under Call handling. For more info about call handling settings in the app, visit Configuring phone settings in the app desktop and web.
