Hiding the message tab in the app

Admins can turn off specific features, such as the messaging feature, by configuring the custom roles in the admin portal. Specifically, admins can hide or remove the Message tab.

Configuring the message tab

  1. Log in to the admin portal.
  2. Go to Admin portal > Manage users > Users > Roles.

  1. Choose a Role Name, and click Edit at upper right. 
  2. Under Apps Access, go to the Desktop App or Mobile App, then uncheck Message Tab Shown in Main Navigation.

  1. Click Save.
Note: All users under that role will have their message tab hidden. Make sure to remove users from that role if they need to retain the message tab.
